The Upcoming Project : New Muslim Hostels at Anand
There are increasing numbers of educational institutions, offering latest courses/disciplines, coming up on this campus, every year. Obviously the inflow of the students has increased steadily over the years. Due to moderate fees, full facilities, excellent educational-n-serene environment provided at the present Muslim Hostel, students are keen to take admission in this hostel. Presently, as against the available capacity of 213 seats, we have admitted 250 students by temporarily converting hostel utility halls into dormitories. Beyond this, we had to turn down the request of many admission seekers. To shoulder the responsibility of providing good educational, pollution free and safe environment to the students of the society at moderate cost, we have made the following resolutions:-
- To extend the residential infrastructure of the Hostels at Anand.
- To build separate state-of-art hostel for girls and boys student.
- To arrange conveyance facilities on basis of need-cum-viability.
- To undertake activities which promote women education and empowerment.
Justification of the New Project:
SWith such a big mass of students (about 50000+) thronging in a small place like Vidyanagar, there is always a risk of students falling prey to various alluring vices which are unfortunately prevailing in the society. Girl students are soft targets of such immoral atmosphere. In the absence of ethical & religious counseling, teaching and monitoring, things can easily go out of control in such a disarrayed environment. VVMES has always been very concerned about the abovementioned facts. Thus we are always monitoring the student’s academic performance and social behavior during their stay Muslim hostel. As and when required, academic counseling, guidance and help is given to the students. Moreover following activities are regularly carried out:-
- All arrangements are made for Namaz (5 times), Jumaa, Eid etc.
- During Ramazan, Iftari & Saheri facilities are arranged for the hostel wards and Muslim students of the campus.
- Religious/spiritual books are made available in the Library.
- Quranic Quotes and Hadis Sharif are put –up on the Display Board.
- Arabic classes.

- Plot Area : 34,000 sq. ft
- Built up area of two hostels : 50,000 sq. ft. (Girls Hostel: 22,600 + Boys Hostel:27,400)
- Proposed Building : Each Building has Ground + 3 Floors
- Accommodation : Total 294 seats. (123 Girls + 171 boys) Rooms with attached washrooms, Midsize Flats, Rector Quarter
- Amenities : Computer Room, Reading Hall, Library, Seminar Room, Dinning Hall, Pantry/Kitchen, Store Room, Lift, Hot/Cold water system, Parking facility, Security.
- Approximate cost of construction INR. 5,00,00,000/-
